Horse Creek Trails has Horsemanship Classes that are 1
½ hours in length and run through the months June-September.
The classes run 45 minutes with 45 minutes of riding.
In the Horsemanship Classes you will learn haltering,
bridling, saddling, and basic care of your horse.
Boarding is
available at Horse Creek Trails for a minimum charge
of $175.00/month. This includes hay, riding 400 acres
of trails, use of a 100’X200’ sand arena.
Horseshows Friday nights during the summer May-August
at 6:30 PM $2.00 an event. The Public is welcome to
bring a lawn chair.
Horse Creek Trails offers a wide verity of activities
for any family or group outing. Our ponies and horses,
volley ball, hiking, and the use of our fire pit for
roasting, is just a small example of our accommodations
for any birthday party, church group, or organization.
Horse Creek
Trails will be opened for the Spoon River Scenic Drive
on the weekends of October 3 & 4, 2009 and October
10 & 11, 2009. All helpers will be wearing Authentic
1800s Western Ware. There will be pony and horse rides,
weather permitting, crafts, walk a trail, and tack for
sale.
J and J Tack has a room full of all kinds of horse
needs, such as bridles, saddles, fly spray, grooming
aids, wormers, belts, hats, ect.
Horse Creek Trails has you in mind for this season
of riding. Our trails and activities will satisfy not
only the beginner, but also the more advanced rider.
Whether you wish to learn from our horsemanship classes,
or have come just to enjoy or trails and horseshows,
Horse Creek Trails is there for you. Comes see our horses
and give them a try. They will win your hearts over
and give you a day worth remembering.
