The beautiful and well kept Fairview Cemetery dates from approximately 1846

The octagon shaped "Polling Place Building" was used as a voting location for the Village of Fairview as well as the Fairview Township for as far back as the last century. Possibly even farther back, as far back as many can remember it was used to hold meetings for the people of the village and township.

The old Opera House was built by the Independent Order of Oddfellows (I.O.O.F.) in 1898. Back then the second story was used for lodge meetings of the I.O.O.F. and also the Rebekahs. The main floor held many other activities such as traveling repertory troupes, music performances, movies, community suppers, cakewalks & etc.

The Fairview United Methodist Church was formed in 1850 and the current building was built in 1898. The church was forced to close during the 1930's because of a lack of funds to pay a minister. A small but spirited and faithful congregation now keep the church alive. The church is pastored by John Anderson who also serves the Providence Chapel United Methodist Church on the Fairview-Farmington Road.
